Uruguay can be visited all year, but the same trip changes substantially with the season. Summer suits the coast; spring and autumn suit cities and roads; winter suits unhurried exploration without beach expectations. Southern Hemisphere seasons

Summer falls roughly in December–February, autumn in March–May, winter in June–August and spring in September–November. Transitions do not guarantee the same weather every year.
