Answer
There is no single income amount that automatically suits all applicants. For residencia, the selected category, family composition, regularity of income, documented source of funds, and ability to access them in Uruguay are all relevant.
The authority assesses not only the amount but also the source of the funds: income from work, a pension, rental income, a business, investment payments, or savings must be documented. A single screenshot showing an account balance is less persuasive than a contract, statements, and a clear record of incoming funds.
For a family, the calculation may differ from an individual application. Do not multiply an arbitrary figure by all family members without a substantiated formula. It is more reliable to prepare documents covering income, payment period, currency, and the link to each applicant in advance.
